7 of the Top Reasons People Have Tattoos Removed

By Kenneth Orr

One of the best ideas you ever had was a decade ago when you chose to get that tattoo on your neck. As time went on chances are that you outgrew that decision and realized you need a change. One of the things you came to realize is that tattoos are a permanent skin fixture. While at one time your only option was to go turtleneck shopping, a new solution has become available. Thanks largely in part to technological advances, the removal of tattoos is not effective and safer than ever before. No longer do you have to risk the painful alternative or live with the tattoo on your body. We'll take a moment and explore the different reasons that people tend to seek out tattoo removal.

1. The Lost Love

Probably worse than the breakup you had to endure with your ex is looking at their name on your body. As we date people our hope is that we'll spend our lifetime with them. Sadly, that isn't always the case. Instead of facing the daily pain associated with the memory a tattoo removal allows us to begin the next step of our life minus one painful tattoo.

2. A Change in Career

Truth be told companies today don't want to see your body art. If there is any visible it will significantly reduce your chances of being hired. In general Corporate American is a conservation organization that wants the highest level of professionalism. Any tattoo that can't simply be covered up should be removed if you are looking to advance in the workforce and potentially watch your career advance.

3. Parental Control

We all know that our teens don't always make the best decisions and consider the consequences of their actions. Sometimes a decision is based on peer pressure or other contributing factors. No matter the reason, in the end it is up to the parent to take responsibility. Sometimes the best option in cases that a teen gets a tattoo is to have it removed to restore peace and balance between child and parent.

4. Cleaning the Slate

For a tattoo enthusiast their body is a canvas that is waiting to be filled. When a piece no longer representative of who they are the process of removal is allows them to put a new and exciting tattoo in its place. This is also a very effective tool to use when you want a certain tattoo lightened up.

5. Role Model for Children

Some people will find in their youth tattoos were something of excitement and to be proud of. As they get married and begin having children that situation suddenly changes. They find they need to represent themselves as a better role model. Keeping this in mind the removal helps to find a better solution to questions that may arise you're a child, and also acts as a preventive measure from having them choose to follow in your footsteps.

6. Tattooed Out

What is deemed the most popular reason for a person to seek out tattoo removal is the overall lack of interest in having body art. When there may have been a time this body art seemed to be a good idea, it means nothing to them anymore. Since times change along with people it makes sense they want to remove something they consider an eyes sore.

7. Strike a Pose

With how hard it is to breaking into modeling, those who have multiple tattoos begin to find they aren't being considered for certain jobs. Many photo editors find it a pain to remove tattoos with an airbrush and usually the best solution is permanent laser removal.

Although there may be a large number of reasons for a person to choose tattoo removal, there are three major reasons for having it done: career, social pressure and lifestyle choices. But unlike the past having the process done is now safe and effective to remove any of your unwanted tattoos.
